Truck costs rise £410 in a week

The Road Haulage Association says that fuel price hikes just pushed the annual cost of running a typical 44-tonne truck up by £410 in just one week.  Overall the RHA says the recent fuel cost hikes mean that hauliers need to raise their prices by £1,000 a year cover the higher fuel costs.  The RHA's Weekly Fuel Price Survey shows that hauliers now pay £110.46 a litre, excluding VAT, up 0.98 pence on one week ago.  The RHA worries that prices will keep rising and says that government must freeze the fuel duty rate.  Others worry that hell might freeze first.
