Trotters (Childrenswear & Accessories) has taken delivery of a Renault Trucks E-Tech Master L3H1 Platform Cab – its first fully electric delivery vehicle.

Supplied by Renault Truck Commercials Chiltern, the new vehicle will deliver stock to the company’s stores and partners across London, including Harrods and Liberty,

The new E-Tech Master will average 20 to 30 miles per day and work within close proximity to Trotters Childrenswear’s fulfilment centre where the vehicle will also be charged.

Providing a payload of up to 1.2T, the new Renault Trucks E-Tech Master with Truckcraft low loader box body offers a loading height of 500mm which allows for a greater body capacity and a load volume of up to 19 cubic metres.

This has enabled Trotters Childrenswear to reduce its delivery fleet size down from two vehicles to one.

The Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Platform Cab chassis with a R75 electric motor and a 52kWh battery has a real-life range of up to 120 miles on a single charge and, with zero-emissions and zero-noise pollution, can operate without restriction in London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone.

Natasha Lunney, Chief Operating Officer at Trotters (Childrenswear & Accessories), said: “We are continuously looking at how we can be kinder to our planet, and replacing our old polluting vans for an electric one that is ULEZ compliant, is something that we have wanted to do for some time now and we are delighted that it has come to fruition.”
