For over 60 years Teal have become synonymous with providing hand wash facilities to the mobile workforce and from these early beginnings have progressed to being the world’s largest manufacturer of hot water hand wash sinks for vehicles
With hand hygiene now even more important it enables mobile staff, to have access to high quality hand washing facilities on the road, comparable to their office facilities.
The sinks have a two-year warranty, and offer customers approved standards with E11, Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and ISO 9001 certification. All have been comprehensibly tested for electronic safety and product safety design by the CE marking association to comply with all the latest standards.
Teal have consistently invested in design and development and over the last two years have comprehensively re-engineered the entire four model range to keep pace with the ever-changing vehicle electrical supply available on current vehicles. At the same time the range caters for Euro 5 and earlier vehicles. Teal have also, in partnership with large commercial and van convertors, developed a class-leading range for Euro 6 and electric vehicles.
Using the Teal bespoke software, the units can recognise the vehicles electrical supply voltage enabling the sink to switch on and maintain the ideal water temperature for hand washing. This monitoring continues whether being charged constantly by the alternator, or smart charging for the electric vehicle 12 Volt supply. The units also allow for customers who use auxiliary batteries on their vehicles. They can be fitted inside or outside of your vehicle either by hardwiring or plugged in to the vehicles auxiliary power sockets.
The range Includes the original Handeman, the smallest sink on the market, the first with a built-in dirty water receptacle and the Handeman Xtra offering a larger water capacity. For vehicles where more staff need access to hand hygiene facilities, the range includes a sector-favourite sink, the TealWash, with its large 5 litre water capacity. Completing the range is the proven Compact, popular with vehicle converters for over 20 years ago, manufactured in stainless steel with a loose bowl for the wastewater.
The flexibility and quality have seen Teal sink units used by many other sectors, notably the medical sector, to provide high standards of hygiene in wards and public areas where mains fresh water and drainage are unavailable. A key supplier for portable sinks for the NHS, supporting hospitals with hygienic hand wash units throughout the COVID pandemic.
It is probably the best endorsement for the popularity of the units that when a commercial vehicle converter or manufacturer needs a portable sink they simply say, “We need a Teal.”
