London, 20 May 2021: Ford of Britain has confirmed its commitment to the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show, which opens on 31st August at the NEC in Birmingham.
As the UK’s market leader for light commercial vehicles, Ford plays a key role as a barometer for the confidence of an industry earning positive recognition in the face of unprecedented adversity since the onset of the lockdown measures.
The importance of this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show to the success of getting businesses back on track post-pandemic cannot be overstated. For the first time in more than two years, fleet managers, business owners and road transport operators will be able to come together to discuss solutions and opportunities for rebuilding and expanding after a challenging 18 months.
“The Commercial Vehicle Show is the most important date in the UK commercial vehicle calendar and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back onto our stand once again,” said Mandy Dean, Director Commercial Vehicles Ford of Britain and Ireland.
“Ford has been the backbone of business in an especially difficult year, helping to keep the country moving. Transit is currently the UK’s best-selling vehicle and has been leading the way in commercial vehicles for 56 years, while Ranger accounts for more than one in three pick-ups sold in the UK.
“With exciting new products - including our data-driven technical support, FORDLiive, to maximise vehicle productivity, we’re back with a vengeance this year to demonstrate our award-winning products and technology.”
As well as hundreds of exhibitors from across the road transport sector presenting their latest products and services, the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show will host a programme of live theatre discussions. Sector leaders, innovators and commentators will discuss key industry issues throughout all three days of the Show. With all the changes that have been impacting the sector in the last year, these discussions will provide essential advice and information for every operator.
Murray Ellis, Show Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce Ford’s participation at this year’s Show. We have been working hard to develop a comprehensive programme for the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show and Ford’s recommitment this year demonstrates the importance of the event to the industry.”
2022 looks set to bring even more changes as the UK and EU establish new trading rules and regulations. As a result, it’s more important than ever for operators to make informed decisions about the best products and services to meet their needs.
