Tell us about your range of products?

Andover Trailers has been producing bespoke built plant bodies and trailers from our Hampshire manufacturing facility since 1985.

We work with our customers to deliver products that match their individual requirements, specialising in the design and construction of heavy plant trailers, specialist trailers, drawbars and plant bodies.

In general, we offer plant bodies from 7.5 to 32 tonnes and trailers from 10 to 85 tonnes GTW, all designed to move any form of construction machinery or military equipment.

Tell us about the manufacturing process and the use of the 3D CAD system?

We’ve positioned ourselves at the cutting edge of design and manufacture, employing six dedicated full time design staff to work with our customers to deliver bespoke products suited to their operation.

All our plant body and trailer designs are drawn and perfected using our 3D CAD system, before they go down to the shop floor and into the manufacturing process. We have built our reputation on our impeccably high standards of engineering, using the best possible materials to deliver low weight and low height, but with unrivalled strength and ease of operation.

How do you tailor products to individual customer needs and can you give an example/examples?

Tailoring our products to our customer requirements is what we’ve built our business around, it’s something we do with almost every order.

This could mean choosing from our extensive range of ramp options, including our pioneering fold-forward design – which helps to reduce drag and deliver impressive fuel savings – through to specialist flooring, closed-up cross members for additional strength, extra lashing points or more safety features, we provide what our customers need.

Does Andover provide servicing and parts back-up for customers?

Yes, we pride ourselves on providing a complete aftersales service to our customers, which includes parts and servicing back-up. Our dedicated parts department works hard to ensure that on the rare occasion there is an issue with any of our products, we’re able to rectify the problem quickly and efficiently.

Can you give details about your used trailers division?

We do often have used trailers available for sale, details of which can be found on the New & Used Trailers tab on the Andover Trailers website (andovertrailers.co.uk). The type of trailers available for purchase are constantly changing, so it’s best to check back regularly for the latest updates.

Typically, these assets can include both Andover Trailers and various ages of competitor brand products we have taken in part-exchange for new trailers. Step frames are amongst the most popular products we take back on part-exchange – typically from customers with a long history of running our product who are replacing like-for-like with a new factory build.

Our used assets can be sold internationally, and we encourage customers to get in contact should they require any additional information. If potential customers cannot visit us in Andover to view the product, we can arrange to share detailed close-up images of any components requested, as well as provide walkaround videos if required.
