Speaking to the transport press recently, Ray Ashworth, UK managing director for Daf said that the firm's Dafcheck system, launched last year has now handled 200,000 trucks.  Dafcheck offers electronic records of every truck in a fleet and "transforms the way in which regular vehicle inspections are carried out, stored and communicated."  The system is Vosa-compliant for Operator Licence purposes.  All inspection records are available on-line, for a single fee per user rather than per truck.  Daf say this keeps helps deliver better control of maintenance history and costs.
