Cubo (formerly NIBC) celebrate their 20th year in business with a complete rebrand and by expanding their fully integrated telematics solutions with new launches at the CV show.
The company’s solutions, via a single sign on, allows access to up to 8 channel live camera footage, remote driver and vehicle tacho downloads, live driver decision support, and exception reports by fleet. They continue to focus on integration of telematics solutions and in-house development of reports which are all available on one platform – MyCubo.
Through research with their customers and partners, Cubo noted the demand for a single platform that not only gives live camera downloads for HGV, LCVs, and Cars, but where customers can access their fuel, tachograph, driver and vehicle reports. In partnership with Sensata, Cubo will launch CuboCam at the CV show which adds Video telematics for Cars to enable users to protect their entire mixed fleets and drivers with a single sign on via MyCubo.
The team will be at stand 5D76 showcasing their latest innovations that include camera footage, and a brand-new Sustainability Report for managers who are focusing on reducing their carbon footprint.
Elizabeth Vuagniaux, Marketing Manager at Cubo says “We are delighted to not only be launching the new Cubo brand, but other recent innovations at the show. It is the perfect platform to showcase how we bring all this technology together - in a way that adds true value. We have noticed a real focus on sustainability and our solutions give businesses access to data insights that they have told us they need, all on one report. Our Sustainability Report allows managers to make informed decisions and changes, and to measure the impact of those changes to show a tangible reduction in their carbon footprint.”
As well as welcoming their existing customers in their first event after their rebrand, Cubo look forward to welcoming Irish Fleet companies to their stand, as they specifically can benefit from a 30% technology grant as part of Project Ireland 2040. Having secured €1.4m funding under the Irish Government’s Climate Action Fund, Cubo partnered with 3CEA to launch The Greener HGV Programme in Summer 2021. Half of that funding has already been allocated with the 500th HGV signed up recently.
The aim is to supply their technology to 1,000 fleet vehicles across Ireland to help reduce carbon emissions as well as a 10 per cent fuel savings target. A previous trial resulted in savings of 1,766.79 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to removing 866 cars from our roads for one year.1
Cubo also partner with the most advanced safety technology for commercial fleets – Guardian. Powered by Artificial Intelligence, it monitors a driver’s face and eyes to determine alertness, wakefulness, and attentiveness. Using AI in telematics allows these irregularities to be spotted well before human interactions can intervene in areas of unsafe driving behaviour.
Conor Patton, Sales Director at Cubo explains “We partner with industry leaders and innovate to bring totally new solutions onto our MyCubo portal. As well as unveiling our new branding for the first time at any trade show, we are excited to showcase all our solutions and have valuable conversations with our customers, visitors and exhibitors alike”.
1 Calculation based on this source BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-52719662 Living car free saves an average of 2.04 tonnes of CO2 per person annually. 1766.79/2.04 = 866 cars. Learn more about The Greener HGV Programme here
