Hats off to the Northern Echo – it has managed to get rabbits and a truck operator all in one story, according to Commercial Motor's April 28 issue. Christine Nixon, who runs Nixon Haulage in Winston, Co Durham, is looking after eight bunnies after workers at its depot accidentally dug into a rabbit warren. Nixon is feeding them goats' milk from a syringe, grass and dandelion leaves. She hopes to return them to the wild one day "because they're not pets".
