A SAFER FUTURE: BRIGADE PUTS CUSTOMERS IN THE DRIVING SEAT WITH AN INTERACTIVE CAB AT CV SHOW

Brigade Electronics will showcasing its latest state-of-the-art technology at this year’s Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show through a unique virtual experience that will allow attendees to see its safety systems in action like never before.

The leading road safety company has created a virtual cab which will take customers on an Interactive Customer Journey that allows users to explore what a driver sees and hears each journey for an in-depth insight into how tech like Sidescan Predict protects both the driver and vulnerable road users (VRUs) such as cyclists and pedestrians.

Customers will see how cameras, and Sidescan Predict (a system that can intelligently discriminate potential collisions and warn the driver with sufficient time for intervention) combine to create an optimal safety situation.

Throughout the drive, attendees can choose different perspectives and select individual products for insight into how each system works. They can also scan the environment on their phone via a QR code for more information, as well as see how Brigade’s vehicle Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems can provide irrefutable evidence in the case of an incident by capturing footage from vehicle-mounted cameras.

Emily Hardy, UK Marketing Manager at Brigade, said: “This is an incredibly immersive experience that gives attendees an unbeatable insight into how the driver experiences blind spots and other dangers – and how our tech overcomes them through enhanced vision and driver alerts.

“This is the first time we have unveiled such a ground-breaking installation and we look forward to welcoming attendees on stand 4F15.”
The Commercial Vehicle Show – Britain’s biggest road transport event – takes place at the NEC Birmingham between May 24 and 26 2022, following a two-year break.

Brigade has been at the forefront of the vehicle safety market since 1976 when its Chairman Chris Hanson-Abbott OBE introduced the reversing alarm to the UK.

Brigade’s expertise of the complex safety issues of mobile applications has produced a comprehensive, quality and reliable safety product range for vehicles and mobile plant.
